Lates calcarifer ( Barramundi ) Lates calcarifer or Barramundi Found in coastal waters, estuaries and lagoons, in clear to turbid water. A diadromous fish, inhabiting rivers before returning to the estuaries to spawn. A protandrous hermaphrodite. Larvae and young juveniles live in brackish temporary swamps associated with estuaries, and older juveniles inhabit the upper reaches of rivers. The most suitable  time to catch them are during early morning or night. The calm atmosphere (surrounding) could stimulate them to search for food. Whereby at night is the best time because the catcher could stay closely to them.

The suitable condition to catch Barramundi is when the water is cloudly and far off from the riverbank. The reason why is, the condition of water could stimulate the sensitivity of fish become more gentle.
